World Explorers was a club run by members of our local home education community. Each session was themed around a country, region, city or festival. Before each session we would locate our 'destination' on a map. The first session's theme was France and inspired HB to ask to learn French and visit Paris.
HB built the Eiffel Tower from spaghetti and marshmallows.
Next HB looked at pictures using the Pointilism technique and tried making a painting using dots. This was followed by a trip to a pretend French campsite.
Then it was time to visit the French market.
At the end of the session HB tried some French bread and played a game in the garden.
