In the September of what would be Y3, HB started a Spanish class aimed at KS2 children. In the first term they learnt higher numbers, more unusual colours, school objects and classes (not the best topic for HB!), rooms of the house and objects you might find there. In the second term they learnt how to tell the time and began learning about food.
Then the Coronavirus Lockdown stopped face-to-face lessons. The classes moved onto Zoom. They learnt how to describe the weather, how to ask and answer questions about themselves, how to describe where they live in detail, space vocabulary and how to describe something as faster/fastest, bigger/biggest etc. Each week HB would be sent worksheets to complete. The final topic of the year was habitats and animals.
