HB met a Viking blacksmith who married an Anglo-Saxon. In his 45 minute talk he told them tales of raids, gods, Valhalla, and his career as a blacksmith. He also told them a few of the many words in our language that came from Norse, and showed them some Viking replica objects.
After the presentation HB completed an Anglo-Saxon and Viking trail around the gallery, which included creating a story using the objects and locations mentioned in the displays.
