Training began with a lecture then quiz on different terms used by the combined forces and some fitness training (or PT). The children then worked in threes, with one pretending to fire a gun from a ship at a target they couldn't see, one re-loading the gun, and the third being the onland observer who gave directions to the gunner (by pretend radio).
Next the children were drilled and given section attack training. They worked in squads moving forward and backward to provide cover for each other. After initial training they were given "rifles" to take with them.
Finally they tried the assault course.
Proudly showing off a completed training record.
