Number in Nature Session 1: Drawing Circles

September 2020, Year 4

This morning HB began a series of 6 online sessions with @creativepatterns. The first project was creating the Yin Yang sign using 6 circles.

Next they drew a pattern using three equally overlapping circles. They had to problem solve to work out where to centre each circle.

After this they learnt how to 'walk the circle', dividing it into 6. They used this to create a 6 pointed star pattern.

For homework they were challenged to make the Yin Yang Yong symbol.
