After being inspired by an Outschool class, HB built a model of the cell membrane (from Origami Organelles). The model included an aquaporin, glucose sodium co-transporter and sodium potassium pump, glycoprotein and glycolipids, glucose carrier protein, sucrose proton co-transporter and proton pump, and of course the lipid bilayer. HB even made some vesicles and little molecules to move in and out through the correct routes.
