Our tour began with a talk about the centre and it's history. We learnt that the first patient was not a hedgehog but a bird. Today it is the largest wildlife hospital in Europe. After the talk we looked around the centre.
We saw skeletons of some of the animals treated here. Studying these helps the vets to treat the animals.
We went into a shed that used to act as the hospital and saw some of the equipment that was once used.
We then listened to a talk about hedgehogs and met Rosie.
After lunch we listened to a talk about the different wildlife treated at St Tiggywinkles. We then saw the baby squirrels being hand fed in the nursery.
Before leaving the site HB fed the fish.
