The day began with a planetarium show. We looked at different constellations then went on a tour of the universe.
After the show HB explored the rocket tower galleries, learning about the space race and taking part in lift off and landing simulations.
When we'd finished lunch (yay for vegan options in the onsite cafe!) HB took part in a workshop to explore why rockets are usually painted white. They used thermochromic paint and an IR light to test the reflection/absorption properties of different colours.
HB then watched a demonstration showing the parts of a pressure suit.
Next we watched a show called, 'It IS rocket science!'.
At the end of the day HB explored the 'Home Planet' and 'The Universe' galleries.
