HB wanted to make some dinosaur eggs using our mini dinos (HB called them baby dinosaurs). HB mixed oatmeal and bicarbonate of soda with a little water to make a dough. This was wrapped around the mini dinosaurs. Whilst we waited for them to harden we read a book about baby dinosaurs and researched dino nests online.

Then HB made a nest for the eggs. We'd read that some dinosaur nests had rotting vegetation in them, so HB added some leaves.

Then HB placed the dinosaur eggs in the nest. HB realised the different species really should have different nests, but decided it would be too hard to make more nests. The eggs were covered over with more vegetation to keep them warm.

Then it was time to hatch the eggs. HB poured on vinegar, which produced a dramatic fizz but didn't actually crack the eggs as hoped, so a little manual help was needed.
