The remains of this iron age village (at least 8 roundhouses) are in Cornwall. In this area Iron Age roundhouses had stone walls, rather than the more common wattle and daub walls.
The ground was rather boggy when we were there, so we were unable to investigate every building close up.
From the top of this rock we could see the sea in the distance on both sides. You'd have had good visibility of anyone approaching the village.
