HB took part in prehistory and archaeological themed activities and enjoyed asking experts lots of questions. The first activity was archery.
Next HB looked at animal skulls and tried to work out which animal they came from.
Then HB looked at animal bones, working out which part was which and comparing between species.
Then it was time to look at replica hominid skulls.
HB then looked at a homo sapien bones, particularly enjoying discussing what can be seen in the skull.
We watched a smelting demonstration.
HB then used archaeological tools to dig in the earth and reveal a skeleton.
HB had a go at making cuneiform writing (then turned it into a train!).
Then there was some collaborative shelter building.
HB looked at different arrows.
Before leaving HB did some pretend cave painting.
