We began the session by taking soil samples from the meadow, garden, and woodland.
HB then analysed them by look, feel, and by separating the different layers. A key revealed the types of soil we had.
Next we listened to a talk about worms and were shocked to discover how big some species can be!
We then went into the woods for some worm charming. We created vibrations to encourage the worms closer to the surface and then noted their size and type.
At the end of the session we made a wormery.
