We visited Saffron Walden Museum on a special Stone Age themed day. HB began outside, with a lesson in how to distinguish between tools from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic.
Next we watched a flint knapping demonstration.
We then visited the museum's Ice Age exhibition and HB completed a Stone Age trail.
HB then 'dug up' a sabre-toothed cat. Finally there was a test to see whether HB could sort the stone age tools into the correct time order.
