There are multiple sets of Callanish Stones. The most impressive (Callanish I) forms a cross with a stone circle at the centre. It dates from about 2900-2600 BC.
We began our tour of the stones at Callanish I.
We visited the small exhibition center.
Next we drove to Callanish VIII, a stone semi-circle on the island of Great Bernera.
We then returned to the Callanish II, a stone circle with 5 remaining, large stones.
And then walked to the nearby Callanish III, which is made of an inner and outer circle.
Callanish I is visible on the hill above Callanish II and III.
